Carnival of Life!

It all started with a haunted park... Just kidding. This weeks activity was the carnival of LIFE! We started off with 10 coins to spend on park games like angry birds and celestial pong. What good fun those were! Each game was either based on something spiritual like naming prophets or articles of faith, or more focused on the fun factor. Spiritual games rewarded you with coins and fun games got you tickets which you could use to buy treats. By the end everybody had either treats and tickets or coins. Here comes the twist, treats were put back into a big bag! Noo! We were put into one of the three kingdoms based on how many coins we had left and the celestial people got most of the treats. There was an important lesson behind this: we need to prioritize spiritual growth and in the end we will receive the greatest rewards.

Jenna's bridal shower!!

Jenna's bridal shower came to her as a surprise. She was so happy when she walked into the young women's room and saw a big celebration going on. We played 'guess the age of the bride', making a wedding dress out of toilet paper (which the Laurels won) and we popped balloons to find more out about the bride and the groom. This was all followed by a delicious feast of food brought by various people. We all hope that Jenna enjoyed her night with the girls and we wish her luck for the future!
